♥ Chip in to help »It would force any citizen amendment to win a majority in every one of Missouri’s 8 congressional districts. That lets a small minority veto what most Missourians want. It was written by politicians, and it’s on the August ballot on purpose, to rig the rules before November.
It wipes out the state income tax that pays for about two-thirds of Missouri’s budget, then backfills with new sales taxes on goods and services. It threatens our public schools. Lawmakers can already cut income taxes by statute. No amendment needed.
